History and architecture

Bodom is Uzbek for almond, and the motif runs through the station: ceramic inserts on the stair walls and tree-like lamp columns ringed by small stools. A single broad vault spans the hall, with a geometric pattern running from one wall across the ceiling to the other. Architect: Yashnar Mansurov. Its design name was VDNKh, after the exhibition grounds next door, now Uzexpocentre.
