History and architecture
Opened in 1980 next to Mikhail Anikushin's 1974 Pushkin monument, the station took the poet's name. In 2015 the monument was moved to the former Theatre Square, renamed Pushkin Square, but the station kept its name. The hall recalls a palace colonnade: candelabra lamps with 'candles' by Irena Lipene crown the marble columns, and a bronze relief of the poet with his muses by Juozas Lipas hangs above the stairs.
Named after A. S. Pushkin. Planned name: 'Kuibysheva' (after Kuibyshev).
