History and architecture

The northern terminus opened on 29 August 2020 together with Yunusobod, after work on the 2.9 km extension resumed in 2016; it cost 103.8 million US dollars. The track walls carry 16 ceramic panels of historic monuments: eight for cities of Uzbekistan and eight for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The columns are faced with white marble.
