Oʻzbekiston metro station

History and architecture

The station opened in 1984 with the first section of the line. Its single-vault hall has a ceiling of carved ganch plaster by the folk master A. Sultanov. The glass-and-metal lamps are shaped like an opened cotton boll (artist V. Dudin), and enamelled ceramics by R. Mukhamadzhanov on the walls depict flowing water.

Opened together with the Oʻzbekiston line in 1984.
