History and architecture

A single-vault station from 1977: hexagonal honeycomb lamps are set into the vault, and carved marble 'stalactites' run along the track walls. Until 2015 it was called Hamza, after the poet Hamza Hakimzoda Niyoziy. From that time survives a Florentine stone-mosaic panel on themes from his works by Abdumalik Bukharbaev. Novza is the historical name of the area.
