History and architecture
Named after the writer and poet Musa Tashmukhamedov, known by the pen name Oybek. Opened in 1984, it was the first column-type station in the Tashkent metro built from earthquake-resistant monolithic concrete. Reddish marble columns carry ceramic ornament, and panels by the stairs, styled as book pages, illustrate Oybek's works. A 140-metre tunnel from the platform leads to Ming Oʻrik station.
