History and architecture
This space-themed station by architect Sergo Sutyagin opened in 1984 and was called Prospekt Kosmonavtov until 1992. Its track walls shade from azure to deep blue like Earth's atmosphere, and glass stars form a Milky Way overhead. Blue ceramic medallions show Ulugh Beg, Icarus, Gagarin, Tereshkova and Dzhanibekov, a cosmonaut from the Tashkent region. Since 2026 it is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.
A space-themed station: walls shading from azure to deep blue and medallions with portraits of cosmonauts. Until 1992 it was called "Prospekt Kosmonavtov".
