History and architecture

A first-stage station from 1977. In 2008 it was renamed Bunyodkor, and in May 2018, following a proposal by the president, it and the neighbouring palace got back the name 'Friendship of Peoples'. The interior is restrained: light grey marble walls and columns, grey and black granite floors. The coloured smalt medallions with the arms of the Soviet republics were removed after independence.
