History and architecture
The station's look recalls Soviet-era metro design: pale marble, a symmetrical hall with glass chandeliers, ceramic panels above the stairs and moulded inserts on the walls. Its design name was Lahuti, and construction began in the late 1980s. A pedestrian tunnel about 140 m long runs from the platform to Oybek. The name means 'a thousand apricot trees', like the ancient settlement about 1 km to the east.
